On that Ron Kenoly he moved his regular drummer, Carl Albrecht, to percussion to make room for Vinnie, hehe. On a funny little side note about that; there is a song on that CD called "Mighty God" and the writers of that song, Kim and Dewitt Jones, came to my church to preach and lead the worship team. Well they had a drummer with them to play their "rehearsed" material. Well, they actually hadn't ever played that one song "Mighty God" in public before so it was their first time performing it. They wanted to see how it went over so they were playing it for us. Well, right when they get ready to go into it (in front of hundreds of people, mind you) the bass player looks over and the drummer is no where to be seen (later turns out he missed the cue to go up and was in the restroom). So the bass player looks over to me (she knew i was a drummer from seeing me the play night before) and tells me to get up there since they already started into the piano intro. Well, i am a left-handed drummer and the set was set up righty! Thank God for The New Breed book or else i would have been lost on a right-handed kit. Anyways i limped through the tune that i had never heard before and then jumped off the kit and proceeded to ask the drummer to please leave the set left-handed next time he goes to the restroom and i unknowingly have to sub. It was a trip to hear Vinnie play that tune on that CD now... sure sounds better than i did!!! He sure brought it a long way since the first time it got played by me on that right-handed set! I am actually surprized they didn't scrap the tune entirely after how i played it the first time! Anyways, it is a realy good live CD... Vinnie is such a chameleon, he is sick! If there is a live DVD of that i would love to get my hands on it.
